After what happened to Texas-El Paso Head Coach Keitha Adams, her mother Sue and the Miner basketball team in the late portion of 2013, no doubt resilient is the perfect word to describe them.
Sport Tours International Hosted Three Successful Thanksgiving Events
Sport Tours International kicked off its 2013-14 Tournament season with three Division I women’s tournaments in three very different locations this past weekend. Four teams participated in the first ever Barclays Women’s Invitational in Brooklyn, NY, four more teams traveled to San Juan, PR for the San Juan Shootout while eight teams converged on the South Point in Las Vegas, NV for the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout.
Green Bay to Take Foreign Tour to the Bahamas
Green Bay, WI. – The Green Bay men’s basketball team will be heading to the Bahamas later this month for a foreign tour, playing four games in Nassau from Aug. 26-29, head coach Brian Wardle announced Wednesday afternoon.
Detroit Wins 2013 WBI Tournament
A 45-point outburst in the second half was the story as the Detroit Titans won the 2013 Women’s Basketball Invitational (WBI) with a 73-62 victory over the McNeese State Cowgirls on Saturday afternoon on Dick Vitale Court at Calihan Hall.
Haverford College Men Set for Belgium Trip
The Haverford College men’s basketball team will partner with Sport Tours International for a week-long trip to Belgium Oct. 13-19. Haverford is taking advantage of a week long fall break on campus to travel to Europe and prepare for the 2012-13 season.
The Fords will leave Philadelphia on Oct. 13 and fly nonstop to Brussels. The group will quickly get acclimated with the city when they take a bike tour with the quirky and fun Groovy Brussels tour company. The next day Haverford will hop a train and head to the Belgian city of Bruges for a day of sightseeing.
